They are made from heavy African fabric with thick padding. The handles and adjustable shoulder straps consist of strong nylon strapping covered with beautiful fabrics. The top has a zipper closure and a Velcro flap all the way around to keep your drum protected and secure. You will be very happy with this drum bag! Price, $85 each Clip-On Drum Straps These wonderful straps are just what you need to play your djembe or ashiko while standing! Strong and comfortable, the strap is adjustable to hold the drum at the perfect height. Just attach the metal clips to the ropes on your drum. The clips slide on the straps, so your drum automatically hangs beautifully. The back/shoulder pad is thickly padded, and covered with beautiful imported fabric. The strapping is strong nylon. Price: $25 Ksink-Ksink Ksink-Ksink are rattles that slide into the top rope on your djembe or ashiko. They create a subtle rattle as you play, adding a flavor to your sound and visual appeal. They can also be played directly with your hands. Ksink-Ksink are symbolic of the shields that once protected drummers during battle. Drums were used both to intimidate the enemy and to communicate messages to the fighters. The shields were essential to the success of the battle. Ksink-Ksink are a wonderful accessory to your djembe or ashiko. Price: Set of 3 $25 African Goatskins These are the same high-quality goatskins that I use for my drummaking. These are full size skins, more than large enough to skin your djembe or ashiko. Large Goatskin with hair, $22 each. 4 or more skins, $18 each. DRUM STICKS/DJUN-DJUN STICKS I cut and finish these drumsticks myself! Made from hard, heavy American red oak. The ends are perfectly rounded. Available in two sizes; 3/4 inch and 1inch diameter. All sticks are 16 inch length unless you'd like a different size. All sticks are well sanded and rubbed with polyurethane to seal the wood. Sold in pairs. 3/4" sticks, $10/pair 1" sticks, $12/pair CUSTOM STEEL RINGS for your drum I make custom steel rings to your specifications from cold-rolled steel rod. The circle is formed to the desired size and welded closed. Most drum rings are made from 1/4" rod, but I also offer rings from 5/16" rod, which I prefer. I will need you to tell me the exact inside diameter that you want the rings to be. I usually plan to have 1/4" to 3/8" inch between the ring and drum, all the way around, to accomodate the skin, rope and ring wrapping. It is also helpful to know the outside diameter of the drum, and the circumfrence around the widest point near the top. This way, we ensure that the rings will work well with your drum! If your drum is not round, you may wish to turn the drum upside down on a piece of paper to trace a pattern. DRUM ROPE Why not have best quality rope on your drum? I offer 3/16" diameter non-stretch static line, perfect for drummaking. The rope is polyester with a braided sheath and a full inner core. Color is black. This is the same rope I use in all my drummaking! 100 feet is definitely enough for both your cradle rings, vertical rope and tuning lace on standard size djembes.
